Well, my exams are just around the corner but I'm feeling ever so restless. The day started with me having extreme food cravings. I repeat again. Extreme. But no one wanna accompany me to eat cos it's a tad too far from my house. Ha. No one understands why I work there yet still craving for em'. Ate a lot of food in the aim of satisfying my cravings but the cravings got worst and so am I.
In the end I got my sis to accompany go to the central to eat the seafood soup. Not exactly what I am craving for the whole day, but it's one of my favourite food. And I tried its "MaYou" chicken. Pretty delicious! I even ate the skin! Hee.. But I was clumsy and I dirtied my shirt.
Just when I was done wiping my soiled shirt with wet tissues, an auntie rushed out from behind, spurting hokkien in a very agitated manner. I confess that I know nothing much about Hokkien except the Hokkein vulgarities that the boys from my Secondary school "taught" me. (That's another story, but I really think that boys have bugs in their head at that particular stage of their life) The only thing that I caught was that she was refering to someone being "lao zhar bo" (old woman). The woman seemed dangerous. Even her dressing depict that she may have a case than more severe than having "bugs" on her head. Never, I repeat, NEVER wear long pleated skirts with sandals. She was looking like the "Ah Hua" from a Chinese serial drama a few years ago. I was dumbfounded. Imagine yourself being preoccupied in removing the big stain on da shirt (plus the fact that I was enjoying my food prior to that) and VOILA, a seemingly mad woman appeared out of no where.
What's more dramatic was that there was two police that came rushing after her. It's not everyday that one get to see police in action over here. Mind you, it was happening just barely more than one metre away from my table. (I'm seriously worried that they will run around my table and upset my table. ) The woman was resisting the policewoman. Her eyes speaks of hatred and she looked as if she gonna kill anyone in sight. Shudders. (Was hoping that she wouldn't come near me. I'll get crazy if she upset my table of food. I'll bite her :X) She was holding a bag and her fist was clutching on two 4-D slips. Then she ran infront of me and the policewoman was holding onto her arms firmly. The policewoman was so cool, calm yet firm with that old woman. She spoke to her softly and slowly (in Hokkien again, which I dun understand at all). The woman suddenly knelt infront of the policewoman. And the policewoman asked her to get up (what I presumed have happened). Then they went behind the coffee shop to settle/ calm the woman down.
It's definitely more interesting than Heartlanders.
